Pequeno Poema/Little poem

Não quero descrer do fim
Porque ele espreita a cada esquina
e é real
Mas já que tantas vezes dobrei esse cabo
da frágil esperança
e acabei por descobrir terras novas
dou aos recomeços
um crédito inocente
e silencioso
como as crianças também dão

I do not want to disbelieve about the end
Because it lurks around every corner
and is real
But as so often I doubled this cable
of the fragile hope
and ended up discovering new lands
give to the beginnings
a  innocent credit
and silent
like children also give
